BEFORE PASSAGE

Before the Passage had a language, there was movement.

These two early paintings mark the beginnings of my practice, when experimentation with paint, pressure, and gesture began to reveal a personal language.

Through scraping, pulling, and layering color, I discovered a connection between the movement of my hands and the memories they carried,

including my father’s work as a mason.

Before Passage is the opening chapter: the moment when instinct began to take form, laying the foundation for the Passage Series.
